Back when we bought our first rescued horse, a beautiful reg. appendix qh mare named Banners Misty Comet out of Sonny Dee Bar Sonny Go Lucky lines,...we found it near impossible the get a farrier down to our place to do one horse. Most of them were booked solid and not taking any new customers, for others, it was too far to travel.....so we wound up getting a local farrier, Joe Skip, who was fresh out of school and didnt have alot of clients yet. By the time he got to us we then had another edition to our equine family and that was "Honey" the mule. Well the first time Joe Skip came down he didnt take much off the hooves as they were in pretty good shape, not over-grown or anything, but he did pare down the heels so much that the two animals were tippy-toesing around here as if walking on eggshells for the longest time. Well old Joe he would always leave us an appointment card for the next appointment in 6 weeks but old Joe would pull a series of "no show no calls" before eventually he would show up although several weeks late. In the interm, we purchased two broker-owned horses from the good folks at AnotherChance4Horses in Pa., only to find out that they had obvious issues that were not disclosed in the advertizements when posted on the AC$H website. Ms Stoney Sanchez was awfully long in the toe when she got here, and had a funny way of walking, all stiffed joined with "popping" (not fluid} joint movemet, she also had bowed-tendons and an obvious heave line. Dial Kathys Clown had an old bow as big as a mellon on a hind leg....Well, one thing we noticed about Joe Skips work with Chezy, we dont think he ever cut quite enough off of the toe at anytime he was here. There was no real evidence of cutting, no clipped off horse-nails laying around or anything like that where you could see what was removed. All I ever (mostly) noticed on the ground were filings, so we think Joe was doing more filing than cutting and that could be one of the reasons we had Chezy nearly a year and were not able to get her toes right....what with Joes "sporatic" visits and insufficient trims, it is no wonder she was still long in the toe when she left here. Things got so bad after awhile that I felt it compelled to let Joe know how terribly disappointed we were in him . Many times he would not even answer our calls for weeks, a few times we were able to get another farrier out but nothing on a reglular basis . So yes, I did "call Joe out" for his unprofessionalism,.....and I also reminded him that as a "professed" christin that if he cared about the well being of our horses or even his integrity as a christian man of principles he would "do the right thing" and come down here and take care of these animals.....when we got no response, Joe went on our black list LONG before our problems with @NEER ; However, since NEER is out to discredit us (QARR) in any way they can, they are now contacting everybody we had listed on our blacklist to see if they can "dig up any more dirt" on us.....apparently, our ex-farrier responded favorably to their inquiry regarding the QARR horses, lying about Chezys hoof-condition saying they were in "terrible" condition and thanking NEER for "rescuing" the QARR horses; as if they were being neglected.....we say Joe is telling on himself here because if as he claims the horses feet were in such terrible shape, who was the farrier in charge of their hoof care? None other than Joe Skipp. His reply anto NEERs inquiry and QARRs response to the reply follow;

QARRs Response
oF COURSE, coming from our ex-UNRELIABLE FARRIER WHOM WE HAVE ALREADY BLACK-LISTED and if you would like a list of other of his ex-customers to validate our complaints against Joe Skip for his unprofessionalism for no call - no shows, ....I can provide you with that. Remember if you will that every story has two sides,...and you can relate this back to Joe Skip for me, ... if Chezys feet were in "horrible" condition, it is only because we waited for him to come down for so long,...remember, he had been Chezys farrier all along, so the condition of her feet was his domain. Now he is saying "no laminitis" thatt Doc Barnes from Saratoga Equine is wrong, but funnything, when I showed the exrays to several farrier medical equine groups they all agreed that the exrays showed laminitis with digital decent....so, who are we to believe? A dozen long-time professionals or a fresh-out-of-school (now a ) NEER head farrier that would say ANYTHING to discredit QARR. ....when will they learn their is NO discrediting us! We have nothing to hide. They can call us what they want but the truth will out and smart people can see for themselves what is going on here,....its a "NEER SMEAR" against Qarr. I am afraid you will have to try a little harder as no one around here takes Joe Skipp seriously anymore but every HIGHLY respects Doc Barnes---
...humm, I wonder, are FARRIERS under any code of confidentiality when it comes to divulging info on his customers horses that he has treated? I think they are, after all, they are considered medical professionals, are they not? Interesting that Joe Skipp might be liable to QARR for breach of confidentiality? BIGmouth. Loose lips sink ships and yours is going down if we have anything to say about it. Anyways, last he was here in mid march he said Chezys feet "were not that bad at all". Joe made us another appointment for April 13 but that was another no call no show for him. Joe Skipp is teaming up with NEER, lying through his christian teeth about the real condition of our horses. Ray Charles could see that he is only seeking revenge and siding with NEER is a good way to do that....the TRUTH of the matter is that Joe Skip is notorious in local circles for his unprofessionalism and I have a LIST of dis-satisfied customers; He is only trying to make US look bad cause he is mad at us for blacklisting him.....he is NOT reliable at all, and now, he is a liar too!
